South African Debut 2YO Winner for Shadwell

A $350,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Shadwell, two year-old Exceed and Excel filly Nafaayes made a winning debut at Vaal in South Africa on Thursday.

Nafaayes as a yearlingTrained by Mike de Kock, she was favourite for the 1000 metre juvenile maiden and raced accordingly dashing clear to win by a length and three-quarters.

Bred and consigned for sale by Kia Ora Stud, Nafaayes is the first winner for US Group III winner Decelerator (USA), a daughter of leading shuttle sire Dehere.

Decelerator has a yearling filly by Snitzel and weanling colt by More Than Ready (USA).
