Dreamforce Ready for a Deserved G1

Tara Madgwick - Saturday September 7
All evidence would suggest that at age seven, talented Fastnet Rock gelding Dreamforce looks set for his best ever campaign with a dazzling win in the Group II ATC Tramway Stakes at Randwick on Saturday giving the indication an elusive Group I win may be within his grasp.

Prepared by John Thompson, Dreamforce is one of those honest soldiers that goes about his business each season gradually working his way up the ladder.

Fastnet RckHe closed out his autumn preparation with a third to Winx and Brutal in the Group I ATC George Ryder Stakes and then chased Brutal home for second in the Group I ATC Doncaster Handicap.

Those performances showed Dreamforce as a horse capable of winning a big one and when he bolted away to win the Tramway today by three lengths, plenty of punters would be thinking his turn at Group I success is now imminent.

"He's the best I've had," said John Thompson .

"He is such a professional. He's a gun horse and does everything right and a pleasure to train.

"He's a real racehorse. He gives you 100 per cent every start. It's his 11th win and he's so honest. You can't instil that in horses. He's a trainer's dream.

"All roads lead to the Epsom as his main goal."

Dreamforce will go to the Group I ATC George Main Stakes at WFA in two weeks on his way to the Epsom Handicap another fortnight later.

Foaled and raised at Kitchwin Hills, Dreamforce was retained to race by his breeders after passing in at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale and has put together an impressive record with 11 wins and nine placings from 26 starts with prizemoney in excess of $1.4million.

Dreamforce is the best of five winners for Eskimo Queen, an outstanding racemare who won both the Group I Queensland Oaks and STC Coolmore Classic.

Dreamforce is the first stakes-winner of the new season for champion sire Fastnet Rock, who stands at Coolmore at a fee of $165,000.
