Nicks That Click – Looks Like This One Has Worked Again

Tara Madgwick - Monday January 20

This nick involving two champion sires is well proven and documented with a two year-old winner last Saturday appearing as the latest example.

Personal showed serious talent at Flemington last Saturday - image Grant CourtneyAnyone that watched the win of Fastnet Rock filly Personal at Flemington will have her marked as a future stakes-winner given the turn of foot she showed when finally given clear running over the last furlong.

Read about her here.

Bred and sold by Cressfield, Personal is a sibling to stakes-placed Trope, Selectify and Laser Flash being the sixth winner from six foals to race from stakes-winning Galileo (IRE) mare Personify.

Interestingly, Personal is the first time Personify has been to Fastnet Rock, with her other stakes-placed offspring sired by More Than Ready (USA) and Redoute’s Choice.

Personal is bred on the highly successful Fastnet Rock x Galileo cross that has produced 17 stakes-winners, seven of them Group I winners. The nick runs at 23.9% stakes-winners to runners!

Among the Group I winners bred this way are Australian Oaks winner Unforgotten, Queensland Derby winner Magicool and Epsom Oaks winner Qualify, so Personal may be one to follow into her Classic season.
