Trilogy Trio of Mares to be offered in Inglis Digital Standalone

Media Release - Wednesday June 26

An Inglis Digital standalone sale featuring three quality Trilogy Racing fillies and mares in Nakoa, Miss Gaga and Zia will take place early next week and will generate huge interest ahead of the breeding season.

Stakes-winning Zoustar filly Zia will be a sought after commodity.

Nakoa (War Front) has one of the strongest current pedigrees of any horse in the world.

Her Justify half sister Opera Singer, trained by Aidan O’Brien, was crowned Champion 2YO Filly of Europe in 2023 following a 5-length win in the G1 Prix Marcel Boussac on her final start as a 2YO and was most recently seen running second in the G1 Coronation Stakes over a mile at Royal Ascot.

Nakoa is a full sister to Brave Anna, who was also crowned Champion 2YO Filly of Europe in 2016, having won the G1 Cheveley Park Stakes, while her full brother is the G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (Turf) winner Hit It A Bomb.

Miss Gaga is a winning sister to Giga Kick, the star Australian sprinter who has already won The Everest and two G1 races from just 11 starts.

She is also a half sister to the dam of exciting young sire Alabama Express.

Miss Gaga is being offered in foal to in-demand young stallion Anamoe.

And Zia (Zoustar) raced only five times – four at Stakes level – and was victorious in the Listed Bill Carter Stakes as a 2YO at just her second race start, defeating subsequent Stakes winner Abounding.

All three are being offered as breeding prospects.

“They’re all horses we race with partners and we thought rather than hold them back another 12 months, we’d put them on Inglis Digital now with the breeding season almost upon us,’’ Trilogy’s Sean Dingwall said.

“We’ve got to do the right thing by all the partners and the easiest way to do that is to put them to public auction and let the market decide what they sell for.’’

Inglis’ NSW Bloodstock Manager Chris Russell noted the sale represented a fantastic opportunity for investors ahead of the breeding season.

“If a mare like Zia had ended up in the Chairman’s Sale catalogue, I have no doubt she would have sold incredibly well, so to have the opportunity to offer her to market now is fantastic for us – she’s a filly that any discerning investor should be taking very seriously indeed,’’ Russell said.

“Zoustar has had five Stakes-winning 2YO fillies in Australia – Sunlight, Glistening, Platinum Jubilee, Clean Energy and Zia, so she’s in esteemed company.

“I read in the post-sale report that Aidan O’Brien thinks Opera Singer is really going to come into herself in the second half of the season in Europe, so the scope for further upside with that pedigree, which is already incredible, is massive.’’

The ‘Trilogy Sale’ catalogue will go live from 3pm Friday at inglisdigital.com, with bidding to open 9am Monday.

The final countdown of bidding will begin from 4pm next Wednesday, July 3.
