Who Got Lucky?

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday June 26

Investing in thoroughbred yearlings is a compelling and addictive passion for many in the industry and from the time you sign that docket a lot can happen and the rising fortunes of any purchase you make don’t just rest with the talents of the horse itself.

While your horse is going through the breaking in process and a trainer is being selected, it has family are out there racing on and quite often there are close relations and siblings competing, winning and in some cases adding considerable gloss to the pedigree page you paid for.

Just through standing in a paddock and letting others do the work the following youngsters have already had their value enhanced by siblings that have come out and won stakes races since they were purchased and in some cases Group I races.
