This report is always well read for those looking for insight into what these young stallions have in the pipeline as winners don’t come from nowhere, they come through the trials.
Mullaglass Stud have had some great results at Inglis Classic over the last few days and produced a lovely Home Affairs filly to fetch $380,000 on Tuesday.
Three heats won by unraced juveniles at the Warwick Farm trials on Tuesday morning were by some pretty interesting stallions in Home Affairs, Farnan and yes, Gun Runner!
The Group III MRC Chairman’s Stakes (1000m) at Caulfield on Saturday for colts and fillies produced a dominant winner in Big Sky with blueblood filly La Gitana a gallant third on debut.
The Rosehill trials on Thursday morning featured four heats that were won by juveniles and two of those winners were by Ole Kirk, while an unraced Home Affairs filly continues to show potential with her second trial win.
A week after the pick of the eligible crop did battle in the Listed Karaka Millions (1200m), a second wave of quality juveniles are set to line up at Ellerslie in Saturday’s Gr.3 Colin Jillings Classic (1200m).
