Spring Potential for Hallowed Crown Winner

Tara Madgwick - Saturday July 6
Bred and retained to race by Gooree Stud, dual Group I winner and promising young sire Hallowed Crown provided Gooree with an exciting two year-old winner at Randwick on Saturday when Rule the World made it two wins in as many starts.

Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, Rule the World was an eye-catching debut winner at Canterbury last month and brought that good form into his next assignment.

Stepped up to 1300 metres and facing a heavy nine track, Rule the World led all the way for Tim Clark to win by a short neck.

"He's very professional and very laid back. He was able to control the race and then really quicken," said Adrian Bott.

"We came here today to get his prizemoney up for some of the nice three year-old races next season.

Hallowed Crown"He'll have a little break now and then get ready for spring."

A homebred for Gooree, Rule the World is the second winner from Danehill Dancer (IRE) mare Pay Off No, a three-quarter sister to Gooree's former brilliant Group III winning filly Gamble Me.

Rule the World has won over $113,000 and is the best of five winners for Hallowed Crown, who has three in Australia and one each in Singapore and in the Northern Hemisphere in the UK.

A top class winner of the Group I ATC Golden Rose and Randwick Guineas, Hallowed Crown was retired to Darley at the end of his racing career and the son of Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense (USA) stands at a fee of $11,000 this spring at Darley in the Hunter Valley.
