Debut Winner for Hallowed Crown

Tara Madgwick - Thursday August 29
The Group I ATC Golden Rose winner of 2014, Hallowed Crown retired to Darley at the end of his career and produced a smart debut winner at Warrnambool on Thursday.

Hallowed CrownTrained on the track by Daniel Bowman, Crowned Lizzie was well fancied and ran right up to expectation when scoring a three-quarter length win in the 1100 metre maiden.

She settled last in the field of five but unwound a big finish and was doing her best work on the line.

A $45,000 Inglis Premier purchase for her trainer from the Mill Park draft, Crowned Lizzie was bred by Mill Park and is a half-sister to Group I placed Platinum Balos.

She is the third winner from More Than Ready (USA) mare Lassie MacTavish, a full sister to stakes-placed Ready to Mombo and Yatala.

Crowned Lizzie is the eighth first crop winner for Hallowed crown and is his second this season.

The dual Group I winning son of Street Sense (USA) stands at Darley NSW at a fee of $11,000.
