Debut Winner for Shooting to Win

Opening his account with an easy win at Cranbourne on Friday evening was promising Shooting to Win colt Treaty of Seville, a $180,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the Aquis Farm draft for John Foote Bloodstock/ Darren Weir Racing.

Treaty of Seville as a yearlingPrepared by Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young, Treaty of Seville was expected to run well and stormed clear of his rivals from off the pace to win the 1000 metre maiden by two lengths.

Treaty of Seville runs for a big syndicate of owners including Aquis in whose colours he runs.

He is a half-brother to stakes-placed American Genius from Gibraltar Moon, who comes from the family of Ain't Seen Nothin', Bachman, Stepitup and Ain'tnofallenstar.

Gibraltar Moon is in the Aquis broodmare band and has a yearling colt by Deep Field, a weanling colt by Zoustar and was covered last spring by their young I Am Invincible sire Kobayashi.

Treaty of Seville is the second winner for Darley's Group I Caulfield Guineas winner Shooting to Win, who covered 131 mares last spring at a fee of $22,000.
