Invincible Tassie Sprint Star Wins Again

Tara Madgwick - Thursday December 13
Talented Tasmanian trained I Am Invincible sprinter I'm Wesley made it back to back wins in the $100,000 Listed Conquering Stakes on Wednesday evening at Launceston.

I Am InvinciblePrepared by Glenn Stevenson, I'm Wesley was a red hot favourite to win again following his dominant last start win in the Listed Launceston Newmarket Handicap, which he also won for the second year running.

I'm Wesley carried 59kg and travelled up on the pace, proving too strong to the line to win the 1400 metre sprint by a length.

I'm Wesley has the overall record of 13 wins and 10 placings from 35 starts with prizemoney just shy of $450,000.

An $8,000 Inglis Great Southern Weanling Sale purchase for his trainer from the Shadwell Farm draft, I'm Wesley is the best of three winners from Daniela, a minor winning Danehill grand-daughter of US Group I winner Some Romance.

I'm Wesley is one of 17 stakes-winners this season for I Am Invincible, who stands at Yarraman Park at a fee of $192,500.

He is the most represented sire at the 2019 Magic Millions with 61 entries.
