Gilgai Farm blazed through the second and final session of Inglis Premier Book 1 producing four of the top six yearlings sold on Monday and they included fillies by Kermadec and Written By that provided benchmark sales for their respective sires.
Astute Bloodstock partnered with Ciaron Maher to secure a Kermadec filly from Turaath (GB) that fetched $625,000 to be the highest priced yearling ever sold for her sire, who stands at Darley Victoria a fee of $13,750.

The filly is the first foal of Turaath, a Group II winner in Australia by influential Juddmonte sire Oasis Dream from an elite European family with her dam Fadhaayil a stakes-winner and third dam Ziria is a Group III winner.
Purchased privately off the track by Gilgai Farm, Turaath produced a colt last spring by Toronado (IRE) and is now in foal to Dundeel.

Astute Bloodstock also signed for a Written By filly from Tune Doubt that sold for $450,000 making her the highest priced yearling filly for her sire, who stands at Widden NSW at a fee of $22,000.
Tune Doubt has had two foals to race both smart metro winners and she is a three-quarter sister to Group III winner Jukebox from stakes-winner Jestatune with the family best known for Group I winner Ihtsahymn.
Tune Doubt also went to Dundeel last spring after missing the year before.
Louis Le Metayer was thrilled to pick up two fillies from a vendor such as Gilgai Farm with pedigree a major factor behind his purchases.
