Winx headlines fields for Randwick Saturday August 19

Australia's best horse Winx makes her return to the races at Randwick on Saturday where a bumper nine-race card is programmed.

The superstar mare trained by Chris Waller will shoot for her 18th straight win against seven rivals, including Group I winners Inference and Foxplay, in the Group II Warwick Stakes (1400m) which is scheduled for 3pm and will be the first leg of the Randwick quadrella.

The Group III Show County Quality (1200m) shapes as one of the more competitive races on the card where the two Epsom Handicap before nominations favourites Omei Sword and Spectroscope will clash against Group I-winning three-year-old Invader.

Other stakes races on the card are the Group II Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m), the Group III Up And Coming Stakes (1300m) and the Group III Toy Show Quality (1300m).

Saturday's program starts at midday (AEDT). The track was rated a good (4) at acceptance time while the rail will be in the three-metre position for the entire circuit.

The Bureau of Meteorology forecast for Sydney for the rest of the week is:
