Gilgai Farm finished as the leading vendor at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale, but their best result in Book 2 was not one of the blueblood youngsters bred by Rick Jamieson it was a colt by Ilovethiscity that was a pinhook for young Max Skillecorn.
Max is the son of Kelly Skillecorn, who is the Stud Manager at Gilgai Farm.
Last year Max put a toe in the bloodstock waters when he pulled off a successful pinhook with a colt by Graff from Veronica that he purchased for $3,500 at Inglis Great Southern and then sold for $40,000 at Inglis Premier.
This year he was able to successfully repeat the exercise with help from bloodstock agent Suman Hedge.
He purchased a colt for $5,000 by Ilovethiscity from Contamination offered by Asfoora’s breeders Noor Elaine Farm at Inglis Great Southern.
After being grown out and prepared for sale at Gilgai Farm he sold on Tuesday for $105,000 to Lake Racing.
