10 for No Nay Never

Tara Madgwick - Friday June 29
Coolmore's promising young Scat Daddy son No Nay Never (USA) keeps delivering new winners with a Maisons Laffitte winner on Wednesday bringing his tally to 10 winners from 23 runners making him the leading first season sire in Europe.

Beaten a short-head on his debut at Saint-Cloud, the Henri-Alex Pantal trained colt We Go went one better at Maisons-Laffitte when winning the six-furlong Prix Riverman by two lengths.

No Nay Never is now the leading European First Season Sire as seen in the table below (courtesy Racing Post) , with his overall record also including a winner in the US which brings his overall total to 10 winners.

The two best turf sprinting sons of Scat Daddy, No Nay Never and Caravaggio, are set to visit Australia in the spring for Coolmore.

Priced at $19,250, No Nay Never is on his third trip to Australia with his first weanlings selling for up to $90,000 at the Magic Millions National Weanling Sale.

A lightning fast dark grey powerhouse of a sprinter, Caravaggio starred at Royal Ascot two years running winning the Group II Coventry Stakes at two and then the Group I Commonwealth Cup at three. Caravaggio is priced at $33,000.

No Nay Never and Caravaggio are the only sons of the late great Scat Daddy (sire of US Triple Crown winner Justify) available to Australian breeders this spring.
