Leading Sires by Stakes-Winners

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday June 13
If you are going to pay a big service fee on a proven sire, you want to see them on this list.

Winners are wonderful, but stakes-winners are what makes a stallion commercial and the list below highlights all stallions that have sired four or more stakes-winners in Australia this season.

Australia's two most expensive sires Snitzel (Arrowfield $220,000) and I Am Invincible (Yarraman Park $192,500) head the list which goes a long way to explaining why these sires are priced at this level and why they are fully booked.

Always interesting to look lower down the list at some seriously good value sires that consistently make their mark with stakes-winners and are priced at an affordable level.

Look to horses like Star Witness (Widden $33,000), Nicconi (Widden $24,750), Domesday (Aquis $9,900), Al Maher ($9,900) and Reset (Darley $13,750).
