Redoute's Choice Mare a Highlight in Latest gavelhouse.com Auction

Media Release - Thursday June 7

Well-related Redoute's Choice mare Redscilla offered in foal to four-time Group One winner Turn Me Loose in the latest gavelhouse New Zealand auction.

RedscillaPlaced at three in Australia, Redscilla is out of Listed winner Luscilla who is a half-sister to Mulan Princess, the dam of Group One Australian Oaks winner and multiple Group One performer Royal Descent who is also by Redoute's Choice.

Redscilla has been mated to quality stallions to date, her first two to race are by I Am Invincible and Poet's Voice. Both these runners look to be able to provide further improvement to the pedigree with Drunk In Love a winner at two in Australia and Juliette fourth at Listed level while breaking her maiden impressively with a 4.5L winning margin on Saturday.

Redoute's Choice is not only an outstanding sire but a great broodmare sire, laying claim as the dam sire to the likes of Sacred Falls, Zoustar, Ace High, Kementari, D'Argento and five other Group One winners plus a host of stakes winners thus far.

Offered on account of Matamata-based Blandford Lodge, Redscilla carries a positive pregnancy test as of this week to Turn Me Loose who commanded a $17,500 + GST service fee at Windsor Park Stud in his first season at stud. The outstanding son of Iffraaj was well-received by breeders in the spring, serving over 140 mares.
