One to Watch – Bairnsdale

Tara Madgwick - Thursday August 10
Champion trainer Ciaron Maher produced a short priced winner at Bairnsdale on Thursday with this three year-old son of All Too Hard carrying the Vinery Stud colours to victory.

All Too Royal as a yearlingThought good enough to run in the Listed VRC Talindert Stakes at Flemington back in the autumn, All Too Royal was spelled after finishing seventh that day to Ducimus and was having his first run back from a spell.

He justified the short price when powering clear to win the 1200 metre maiden by a length and three-quarters.

A $270,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Belmont Bloodstock from the Goldin Farms draft, All Too Royal is the fifth winner from five foals to race from Group I winner Bel Mer, who was bought by Goldin Farms from the 2014 Patinack Farm Dispersal for $850,000.

All Too Royal is the 12th first crop winner for All Too Hard and is his first of the new season.

Black Caviar's half-brother, All Too Hard has made a great start to his stud career and stands at Vinery at a fee of $44,000.
