Two Foals and Two Winners for Snitzerland

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday November 27

The stud fortunes of former top class Group I winning sprinter Snitzerland have taken a rapid upswing in the past month with her second foal Hard Landing winning the Group III VRC Maribyrnong Plate at Flemington and her first foal Saas Fee casting off maiden status at Warwick Farm on Wednesday, both winners sired by All Too Hard.

All Too Hard is the sire of Saas FeeTrained by Gerald Ryan as was her dam Snitzerland, three year-old filly Saas Fee was favourite for the 1300m fillies maiden and scored a tenacious short head win as favourite at her second start.

Reported as a $500,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Vinery draft for Belmont Bloodstock, Saas Fee runs for her breeders Neil Werrett and Steve McCann, who also raced Snitzerland to win over $1.9 million with her career best win coming in the Group I VRC Lightning Stakes.

Snitzerland has a yearling colt by I Am Invincible and foaled again this spring to the same sire producing another colt.

Saas Fee is the 51st winner this season for Vinery Stud’s All Too Hard, who has had a flying start to the season.
