Group I Mare for Sale, How Much for Secret Agenda?

Media Release - Thursday May 31

Blueblood Thoroughbreds' star mare Secret Agenda will be retired from racing after an illustrious career consisting of 23 starts, 7 wins, 5 seconds, 1 third and $1,549,400 in prize money.

Secret AgendaHer 7 career wins include 5 at stakes level, highlighted by the $1million Group 1 Ubet Classic (Robert Sangster Stakes) in 2017, where she dominated a star-studded field beating the likes of Group 1 winners English, Viddora, Shiedel and I Am A Star.

The beautifully bred daughter of Not A Single Doubt out of Negotiate was purchased for a mere $120,000 from the Arrowfield Stud draft at the 2014 Magic Millions Yearling Sale.

Secret Agenda was selected by a combined effort from trainer Mick Price, Bloodstock Agent Tony "Tubba" Williams and the Blueblood Thoroughbreds team, who fell in love with her at first sight and knew she was going to be something special.

She was broken in by the talented Ledger family, John and his sons Chris & Brad, who are all super horsemen and they continue to break and pre-train for both Mick Price and Blueblood Thoroughbreds.

Mick Price achieved so much with the talented mare, but it wasn't always smooth sailing. Secret Agenda was a one-time Blue Diamond favourite after a dominant Moonee Valley win on debut.

Sadly, she was galloped on the in Blue Diamond Prelude where she suffered a fractured splint bone, requiring surgery and months of recovery.

The Blue Diamond wasn't to be, but thankfully she was able to make a full recovery and the rest is history.

Secret Agenda has given everything possible for her loyal owners and for Blueblood Thoroughbreds, and she has well and truly earned herself a happy retirement.

***Blueblood Thoroughbreds are offering Secret Agenda up for sale on behalf of the syndicate. She has been classified as a "breeder's dream mare" by many of the top stud farms, for her brilliant early 2yo speed, her devasting turn of foot and her solid strong constitution that she will pass onto her offspring, not to mention her incredible racing achievements at the highest level.

Carol Walsh, Director of Blueblood Thoroughbreds is currently in discussions with industry leading breeders to facilitate a private sale. With the recent Magic Millions Broodmare Sale results seeing the likes of Jameka making $2.6M, Omei Sword $1.7M, Diademe $1.7M, Silent Sedition $1.5M and Abbey Marie $1.4m, it is highly anticipated a similar or even higher figure could easily be achieved.
