Aussie Owners Enjoy UK Success with Japanese Purchase

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday May 29
The 2018 JRHA Select Sale in Japan is on again in July, so it's interesting to see Australian owners Paul and Anthony Silvestro with a winner at Goodwood last week that was purchased for them at the Select Sale in 2016 by Justin Bahen Bloodstock.

Heart of Grace as a yearling in JapanTrained by William Haggas, three year-old Heart's Cry filly Heart of Grace opened her account with a determined debut neck win over Frankel filly Anasheed in a 1m2f maiden.

The Silvestro's are no stranger to Group I success having raced Group I New Zealand Derby winner Redoute's Dancer and Heart of Grace may find herself on a path to similar classic success.

"Heart Of Grace has a lot of improvement in her because she is very raw. She has only started to bloom this last month," said Maureen Haggas.

Bought for 41 million yen ($496,710), Heart of Grace has a double cross of Sunday Silence (2 x 4) is the second winner for Scarlet Ring, a half-sister to stakes-winner Danon Liberty from the family of dual Group I winner Vermilion.
