The catalogue for the 2026 Classic Yearling Sale – the fastest growing success story of the Southern Hemisphere’s early-season auctions – is now available online.
A total of 798 lots have been finalised for the sale, which will be held at Riverside Stables in Sydney from February 8-10.

It features progeny of 113 individual sires, the likes of Extreme Choice, Snitzel, I Am Invincible, Zoustar, Too Darn Hot, Ole Kirk, Wootton Bassett, Written Tycoon, Street Boss, Per Incanto, Harry Angel, Super Seth, Castelvecchio, The Autumn Sun, Toronado, Dundeel, Justify, Alabama Express, Ghaiyyath, Proisir, Hellbent, Bivouac etc.
There is also representation from an exciting crop of 14 first season sires in Anamoe, Artorius, Best of Bordeaux, Daumier, Diatonic, Ellsberg, Hitotsu, In The Congo, Jacquinot, Profondo, Sejardan, State Of Rest, Stronger and Top Ranked.
A total of 74 individual vendors are presenting yearlings, most of which are BOBS, VOBIS Silver, QTIS, Racing Rewards SA or Westspeed qualified or eligible.
The Classic Sale continues to be the best value yearling sale in the Southern Hemisphere.
It has produced 24 G1 winners since 2018 – 13 which could have been purchased for $100,000 or less – and hence its reputation has been elevated to one that serious buyers cannot afford to miss.

No matter what buyers are looking for – an Everest, Melbourne Cup, Golden Slipper, Queen Elizabeth Stakes, Champagne Stakes, Sires Produce Stakes, Blue Diamond, Doncaster Mile, VRC Derby winner etc - they can find it at Classic.

Recent G1 winners like Pride Of Jenni ($100,000), Sepals ($80,000), Private Harry ($115,000) and Skybird ($110,000) are all graduates of the sale, as is Hong Kong superstar and recent Triple Crown winner Voyage Bubble, one of 199 individual winners of 531 races in Hong Kong since 2018.
Classic has produced 41 millionaires in that same period, while the average price for an Australian Stakes winner out of the sale is $113,594, or 63% less than the Gold Coast January Yearling Sale.
The graduate success from Classic in recent years has been overwhelming, with the aforementioned joined by the likes of Veight, Celestial Legend, Beauty Eternal, Coco Sun, Mazu, Rivellino, Within The Law, Savvy Hallie, Idle Flyer, Raging Force, Salty Pearl, Jedibeel, North England, Arkansaw Kid and many others.
Classic is also an increasingly influential sale from a future stallion perspective with the likes of Extreme Choice, I Am Invincible, Choisir, Hellbent, Castelvecchio, Brazen Beau, Cosmic Force etc all former graduates.

Inglis Bloodstock CEO Sebastian Hutch struggled to hide his excitement upon viewing the final catalogue.
“Classic doesn’t need to be ‘sold’ to breeders or vendors anymore, it’s a sale that they want to be involved in and so the quality of yearlings in the sale improves year after year,’’ Hutch said.
“It’s a sale that attracts a very cosmopolitan buying bench and we feel having a well-diversified catalogue is particularly important, so to have 113 individual sires and 74 individual vendors represented is a very pleasing outcome.
“The Classic Sale continues to produce some of the biggest names in the thoroughbred world in Australia, New Zealand Hong Kong especially and we have every confidence that the 2026 renewal contains any number of top-class performers of the future.
“The success of graduates was in evidence as recently as last weekend when Revengeance became the second consecutive winner of the $1m Golden Gift to graduate from the Classic Sale following the win of North England in 2024, while the past two winners of the $2m Inglis Millennium are also both Classic graduates in Fully Lit and Rivellino.
“We are excited by the ongoing upward trajectory of the sale and are looking to welcoming a massive contingent of clients and friends to Riverside in February.’’
