Yarraman Park Stud celebrated breeding its first Derby winner as Inglis graduates again dominated stakes racing around Australia today.
Leicester (Wanted x Defy The Odds) claimed a maiden Group 1 success when he won the South Australian Derby at Morphettville for his owners Paul Willetts and Garry Johnson.
Willetts purchased Leicester as a weanling from the Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale for just $10,000 from his breeder and vendor Yarraman Park.
Yarraman's Arthur Mitchell was thrilled to have bred the farm's first Derby winner.
"The mare (Defy The Odds) went to Wanted, who we had a share in, and he was always a nice foal,'' Mitchell said.
"Paul Willetts has done a fabulous job with him, gave him the time he needed and now he has himself a Derby winner.
"We obviously generally breed speed so to breed a Derby winner is fantastic for everyone back at the farm.''
Leicester, trained by Darren Weir, has now won $534,000 in prizemoney.
Leicester was one of seven Stakes winners for Inglis graduates around Australia today.

YOUNGSTAR (High Chaparral x Starspangled)
Youngstar appears to have the Group 1 Queensland Oaks at her mercy following a third-straight win today, easily claiming the Group 2 The Roses at Doomben.
The Chris Waller-trained filly led in a trifecta of Inglis graduates when she beat her stablemate Another Dollar (Ocean Park) and Highway (High Chaparral).
Youngstar, part-owned by Inglis' deputy Chairman Arthur Inglis and his wife Charlotte, was bred by John Sheather and bought by Anton Koolman for $200,000 from Bowness Stud's draft at the 2016 Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.
PRETTY IN PINK (Sebring x Total Attraction)
The John O'Shea-trained 2YO filly made it two wins from as many starts with a comprehensive victory in the Listed Woodlands Stakes at Scone.
She is a graduate of the Australian Easter Yearling Sale, where she was offered by her breeder and owners Segenhoe Stud.
SHEISWHATSHEIS (Bernardino x Cry Baby)
Grand campaigner Sheiswhatsheis claimed her first Stakes success and eighth win overall when scoring in the Listed IPG Marketing Solutions Members' Handicap at Doomben.
The Tony Gollan-trained mare was a $30,000 Inglis Classic buy for M Tauschek from the Meringo Stud draft – who also bred her - and continues to be a great success story for her connections.
PERAST (Snitzel x Thousand Veils)
The 3YO Perast's Listed Queensland Day Stakes success gave Arrowfield Stud's super stallion Snitzel his 26th individual Stakes winner for the season, one away from claiming the record he currently shares with Danehill.
The GSA Bloodstock-bred colt was a $100,000 buy for his trainer Paul Perry at the Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale, where he was offered by Luke and Mags Anderson's Maluka Farm.
He will now target the Queensland Guineas.
MOSS TRIP (Mossman x Space Trip)
Moss Trip displayed her customary brilliant turn of foot to comfortably win the $400,000 Restricted Listed Inglis 3YO Guineas at Scone.
It was the 3YO filly's fifth win from just 10 career starts.
She was a $32,000 buy for her owners Triple Crown Syndications from Balance Thoroughbreds at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.
TO EXCESS (Duporth x Montclair)
Tracey Bartley could have his best horse since Group 1 winner Sniper's Bullet with To Excess.
The promising sprinter resumed from a spell to dominate the Listed Ortensia Stakes at Scone.
He was a $60,000 buy from Monarch Stud at the Classic Yearling Sale.
And IN GOOD TIME'S sixth consecutive victory in today's Listed Denise's Joy Stakes at Scone provided a timely pedigree update ahead of tomorrow's Scone Yearling Sale at White Park.
Her Fast 'n' Famous half brother (ex Turbo Rose) is lot 137 at the Scone Sale, being offered by Fernrigg Farm.
