Magic Trials at Caulfield Heath

Early season two-year-olds will step out this Thursday, 2 October, at the Caulfield Spring Trials presented by Magic Millions, with 800m 2YO heats following the opening trial for Group performers at 7:30am on the Caulfield Heath.

Among the youngsters are Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale graduates Senza Nome ($18K buy and Ballarat jump-out winner for Andrew Noblet), Commit ($90K purchase for Mick Price & Michael Kent (Jnr), Face The Wild ($150K buy for Tony & Calvin McEvoy), and Adelaide graduate Got Tickets ($50K for Emma-Lee & David Browne) - being aimed towards the Listed Magic Millions Debutant Stakes (1000m) at Schweppes Caulfield Social on Wednesday, 15 October.

Marbles was a $675,000 Magic millions purchase.

All eyes will be on Marbles, a $675K Gold Coast Yearling purchase for Sheamus Mills with Mick Price & Michael Kent (Jnr) - the same combination behind Group 1 winner Charm Stone. By Snitzel out of Sanity (a Lonhro mare and half-sister to the dam of Caulfield stakes winners Barber and Manicure), Marbles shapes as a major prospect and is also eligible for the Magic Millions Racing Women’s Bonus.

First season sires with progeny on show are Portland Sky, Profiteer, Tiger of Malay, Wild Ruler, Home Affairs, Sword of State and Extreme Warrior.

Seasoned stars Giga Kick (Clayton Douglas), Rey Magnerio (Robbie Griffiths), Niance (Grahame Begg) and Tropicus (Anthony & Sam Freedman) will contest the opening trial.

Barry Bowditch – Managing Director of Magic Millions – and Tim Brown – Victorian Bloodstock Consultant for Magic Millions – will both be in attendance for interviews.
