Yes Yes Yes – Useapin Set for a Good Prep

Tara Madgwick - Saturday July 19

Yes Yes Yes has been relocated to stand at Gooree Park Stud this spring and the Everest hero was in the frame at Rosehill on Saturday when talented filly Useapin posted her first metropolitan victory.

Trained by Chris Waller and ridden by Zac Lloyd, the powerhouse chestnut filly was second up from a spell and produced a career best performance to surge home and score a narrow win in a busy finish to the Benchmark 78 event over 1200m.

Useapin is an impressive filly on type and her trainer believes she is only just growing into her big frame.

“She looked like she was going to be vulnerable with 200m to go, but she did enough and she was great the last bit,” said Waller.

“She's a big girl. She's always shown us promise, but through that big size, she just sort of struggled to put it together every start, but she's on her way and she should have a very good six months.”

A $420,000 Magic Millions purchase from Attunga Stud for Mulcaster Bloodstock/Chris Waller Racing Pty Ltd, Useapin is the highest priced filly by her sire and was also his most expensive at the Gold Coast in 2023.

Useapin runs for the Flannery family and has the overall record of four wins from 11 starts with prizemoney in excess of $180,000.

She is the fifth winner from six to race from Pinova, a winning half-sister by Fastnet Rock to Group II winning sire Star Turn from fast and tenacious Group III winner Golden Delicious.

Yes Yes Yes has sired 41 Australian winners this season and stands at a fee of $16,500.
