Too Darn Hot Sets the Pace in Second Season Sires

Tara Madgwick - Monday October 21

Sadly not in Australia this spring, Darley shuttler Too Darn Hot (GB) is setting the pace by every parameter in the second season sires division leading by earnings, stakes-winners and winners.

A stakes double on Saturday at Caulfield with Too Darn Discreet and Too Darn Lizzie highlighted his versatility with the former stepping up in trip to win the Group III MRC Ethereal Stakes at 2000m, while the latter showed she was more than just a quick juvenile in training on to win the Group II MRC Guineas Prelude at 1400m after a lucrative win in the Magic Millions Debut for fillies over 1000m back in January.

Whatever way you look at it, Too Darn Hot is looking extremely well suited to Australia with his 10 winners this season including five stakes-winners – with the above fillies joined by Broadsiding, Perspiration and Silmarillion.
