Pride of Dubai Hits the Front

Tara Madgwick - Monday October 21

The expected change to the Australian General Sires List duly played out last weekend and with Pride of Dubai’s key runners in the big races all collecting prizemoney he has surged to the top of the list.

Pride of Dubai stands at a fee of $22,000!, click for more info.

Standing at Coolmore at a fee of just $22,000, Pride of Dubai made his presence felt with Bella Nipotina winning the $20million The Everest (1200m), Pride of Jenni running second in the $5million King Charles Stakes (1600m)and Deny Knowledge (IRE) running fifth in the $5million Caulfield Cup (2400m).

It’s the second year in a row that a Coolmore sire has hit the lead at this point in the spring with So You Think achieving the feat last year following the Everest win of his fleet footed sprinter Think About It, who is now set for a well deserved retirement following his unfortunate bleed at the races on Saturday.

The big money races keep coming now right through until mid November so the chase will be on for stallions like Zoustar and I Am Invincible to catch Pride of Dubai, so it will be game on!
