The Everest 2024 Tips - Is History A Guide Yet

Craig Tompson - Wednesday October 16

How to find The Everest winner based on history is an interesting exercise given its short seven year run but given history has a habit of repeating itself, here’s the stats.

Can I Wish I Win buck a very short history of The Everest

Below is the last six months of form for previous winners leading into The Everest including races and barrier trials based on days prior to the big event.

Digest it as you choose, but probably worth noting all winners finished within the first two at least once in their two previous lead-up runs.

However! If you’d like a conundrum – the first horse into a slot this year was last year’s runner-up I Wish I Win, a comfortable scenario, and he's subsequently been the long time favourite.

Trained by the proven Moody/Coleman outfit and clearly set specifically for this race, his runs have been enormous despite not within those parameters. Good luck!
