King Kirk was a $300,000 MM purchase from Widden Stud.

A $300,000 Magic Millions purchase from Widden Stud for My Racehorse Pty Ltd/Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott/Belmont Bloodstock Agency, King Kirk was a pinhook winner having been bought by Redwall Bloodstock for $200,000 at the MM Weanling Sale from Rosari Farm. He is the third foal of Oxford Angel, a half-sister by Nicconi to stakes-winner Oxford Poet from a very fast running female family.

Heat 2 – Fillies – Memo (Capitalist) – 49.33 seconds

Peter Snowden knows all about Capitalist having trained the Golden Slipper winning colt before he retired to Newgate Farm and he prepares his talented daughter Memo, who was allowed to find her feet early and then unwound a good finish to win her heat by more than a length running away.

Memo was a $350,000 MM purchase from Newgate.

Bred by Love Racing, Memo was a $350,000 Magic Millions purchase for Snowden Racing from the Newgate draft and Love Racing retain a share in her ownership. She is the second foal of Group III placed Fastnet Rock mare Notation, a daughter of South African Group I winner Chocolicious.

Heat 1 – Colts – Tuscany (Zoustar) – 49.11 seconds

Firs

t heat won by the most expensive runner with $1.55million Zoustar colt Tuscany stalking the pace set by Capitalist colt Gambler, who began like a rocket and went straight to the front. The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained Tuscany was allowed to find his feet and when asked to finish off by James McDonald scored by three quarters of a length.

$1.55million Inglis Easter purchase Tuscany.

Bred and sold by Widden Stud in partnership, Tuscany was purchased by China Horse Club / Newgate / Go Bloodstock / Trilogy and is a full brother to Group II winner Schwarz, although doesn’t look like him as that horse is a dark bay with no white markings bar a small star and this guy is a flashy chestnut.
