Juvenile Trial Watch – Gold Coast

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday September 10

There were a couple of trials for juveniles on the all weather track at the Gold Coast on Tuesday with winners for Kobayashi and Gold Standard.

Aquis based Kobayashi is coming off a hot season where he posted eight two year-old winners including the stakes-winner Mishani Aloha and looks set to go again although only has a small crop of 22 juveniles to run for him.

Based at Widden Stud in Victoria, Gold Standard sired Group I winner Sheeza Belter in his first small crop and has had subsequent small crops including 20 two year-olds for this season, but the tide will turn in the future with 89 of his yearlings conceived after the emergence of Sheeza Belter set to be offered in 2025.
