No Shuttle for Too Darn Hot

Tara Madgwick - Monday July 1

Set to be crowned Australia’s Champion First Season Sire of 2023/2024 Too Darn Hot (GB) will not be coming out to Australia this year with Darley announcing their decision via Twitter.

Too Darn Hot (GB) has won a lot of fans in Australia.

“Following nine straight seasons covering full books in both hemispheres, it has been decided to give the horse a break from shuttling,” Darley Twitter.

Darn Hot had his fee raised this spring to $110,000 and was no doubt fully booked so breeding plans will have been thrown into disarray for a good many commercial breeders following this announcement.

The champion son of Dubawi has sired 12 Australian winners this season headed by his dual Group I winnning colt Broadsiding, the Champion Australian 2YO elect.

Too Darn Hot has covered 514 mares in Australia over the past four seasons at a fee of $44,000
