PUZZLING WONDER (Race 5 No 1) .

The Mack Griffith-trained Puzzling Wonder led the $200,000 Anniversary Highway field at Randwick last start to the 150m mark before weakening over the latter stages to finish just over two-lengths from the winner After All That.

Puzzling Wonder was a Doomben winner three runs back leading form barrier to box and it is worth noting the win came third-up from a 52-day let-up.

Puzzling Wonder will be third-up from a 47-day let-up on Tuesday and a repeat is on the cards in the TAB.Com.Au Kayuga Cup (1450m).

OVERREACTIVE (Race 6 No 4)

Redoute’s Choice mare Overreactive didn’t lead last start but she does race on the speed and looks well placed in the Godolphin Benchmark 55 Handicap (1450m).

An impressive maiden winner at Canberra two runs back, Overreactive finished her race off nicely when runner-up to Cappella Magna at Nowra last start.

Tuesday’s benchmark 55 looks an easier assignment and with Christian Reith in the saddle and the Brad Widdup polish, Overreactive looks set to return to the winner’s list.

SERIOUS DANCER (Race 7 No 8)

The Jason Deamer-trained Serious Dancer is chasing back to back wins over the Muswellbrook 1280m in the Magic Millions Coming Soon Class 1 Handicap – Heat of the Rising Star.

Serious Dancer gave nothing else a chance with an all the way maiden win over the track and distance on October 2 racing away to win by over four-lengths with the winning margin suggesting the mare won’t have any difficulty handling the step up in grade.

With Tuesday’s race restricted to apprentice riders, Serious Dancer loses nothing with Rachel King in the saddle and with plenty of scope for improvement having just her fourth career run and second run this preparation looks the winner again.
