Apprentice Lee Magorrian was the star of the show at Randwick on Saturday with the apprentice claiming his first Metropolitan double.

Once again, Racenet was on hand to get the feedback from every rider after every race.

This is what the jockeys thought of their rides during the day.

Race 1 – DAILY PRESS KIRKHAM 2YO PLATE (1000m)

1st	LEGISLATION	Damian Browne	He's a lovely colt. Peter and Paul have a good opinion of the horse. They knew whatever he did today he would improve on and certainly raced like that.
2nd	FIESTA	Brenton Avdulla	She ran terrific. When we jump we all jump in a clump and we ended up in a bit of a squeeze box but I got to the outside and her last furlong was good.
3rd	GODODDIN	Jason Collett	We were away fairly and we were a bit green in the mid stages there but she found the line nicely.
4th	ALSHAHHAD	Jay Ford	He's a lovely horse. He's probably a little bit keen in the lead and in that ground when he came off the bridle he really sunk and struggled.
5th	CATANZARO	Adam Hyeronimus	He went well for his first run. He's still learning so I was happy with the run.
6th	GORGONS	Glyn Schofield	She raced ok, back with a bit of cover, just got a bit lost when I aksed her to quicken up.
7th	CYCLONITE	Christian Reith	It was probably just a bit soon for him. Probably looking for 1200m.
8th	TACTICAL FORMATION	Tye Angland	He went alright. He did everything right early but I think he's just going to take a little bit of time to mature.
9th	LINE UP GIRLS	Joshua Parr	Performed well below expectations. Back to the drawing board for him.

Race 2 – 2CH 3YO BENCHMARK 75 HANDICAP (1600m)

1st	KAONIC (NZ)	Glyn Schofield	It was a soft win. He quickens up when you need him to. He's raw still. He'll go to better races than this but I'd like see him take the next step to a classier race than today. Chris is taking him gradually through the grades which is nice to see.
2nd	LUVALUVA (NZ)	Jay Ford	She went super. She closed off really well. Just had to wait for the breaks to come and the winner had got the jump on us.
3rd	SAMBRO	Lee Magorrian (a3)	Next season he'll be a better horse.
4th	SKY BOY	Josh Adams	I was held up for a little bit at the top of the straight but he's run well. He'll do well over further.
5th	OUR MANTRA	Joshua Parr	It was less than ideal to sit three wide outside the speed and he tired late.
6th	REGENT	Jason Collett	Relaxed in the run, the split came but just wasn't able to pick them up.
7th	CHARLIE CHAP	Adam Hyeronimus	Good run, probably just can't run out a strong mile.
8th	THE MIGHTY FED	Andrew Adkins (a1.5)	Disappointing. Got back and did not work but didn't find the line.
9th	THY KINGDOM COME	Tye Angland	Very disappointing.
10th	RED BRAIDS	Rachel Hunt (a3)	Disappointing.

Race 3 – TAB HIGHWAY CLASS 3 HANDICAP (1100m)

1st	SHE KNOWS	Jay Ford	She was good. Travelled outside the leader and kicked. She was having a look around late but was never in doubt.
2nd	I AM CAPITAN	Glyn Schofield	Good effort. I think we got close because the winner was having a good look. It gave us a sniff and my bloke tried to fight but just wasn't up to getting that last half-length back.
3rd	ATTAINMENT	Rachel Hunt (a3)	Really solid effort.
4th	HIGHWAY SIXTYSIX	Andrew Adkins (a1.5)	A very nice horse. Still very green and very raw. I think 1400m is going to be ideal. Really attacked the line like a nice horse.
5th	UNDAOAF	Lee Magorrian (a3)	He ran a great race unfortunately I just had no luck again on him.
6th	KASHTAN	Rachel King (a1.5)	Not too bad a run but probably appreciates a better track.
7th	POLSKIE LADY	Adam Hyeronimus	No comment.
8th	MALACHI CRUNCH	Brock Ryan (a3)	They just ran along a bit too quick for him and he couldn't pick them up on the wet track.
9th	LARLABROOK	Blaike McDougall (a3)	A little disappointing.

Race 4 – LISTED CITY TATTERSALLS CLUB CUP (2400m)

1st	DESTINY'S KISS	Jay Ford	He's a tough old horse and he took a bit to get going but he just kept giving.
2nd	ALWARD (IRE)	Brenton Avdulla	He ran terrific. First try at the trip obviously this prep. He quickened a bit better than I thought he would in ground but got run down by a long neck.
3rd	ADMIRAL JELLO	Glyn Schofield	Genuine stayer that just didn't have enough turn of speed to reel them in but honest enough again.
4th	SOCIAL ELEMENT (NZ)	Rachel King (a0)	It was a good run stepping up in grade.
5th	MORE THAN AHOLIDAY	Andrew Adkins (a0)	Outclassed.

Race 5 – CLUBSNSW BENCHMARK 85 HANDICAP (1400m)

1st	IMPROVEMENT (NZ)	Lee Magorrian (a3)	She went great. Gary told me to get the lead early and that's what I did and she too tough in the finish.
2nd	COLLATERAL	Tye Angland	The big fella went super. He spot on where the stable was at, it's a credit to them.
3rd	KING DARCI (NZ)	Adam Hyeronimus	Very good run.
4th	DAGNY (NZ)	Glyn Schofield	She had her chance. Perfectly positioned but couldn't find a finish.
5th	LOVE'S A FANTASY	James Innes Jnr (a2)	She was honest, it was just the way the race was run.
6th	SHAZEE LEE	Josh Adams	I just got a little bit blocked for a run but when the speed quickened at the 600m it had her off the bit and it probably didn't play into her hands.
7th	PEACOCK	Joshua Parr	Awful performance.

Race 6 – LISTED 3YO SW+P SOUTHERN CROSS GROUP BRIAN CROWLEY STAKES

1st	GOODFELLA	Jason Collett	Another good win. He settled in behind them today and actually over-raced in the middle stages. I didn't want to go down to the fence. He was flushed out on the bend which meant I had to get going. As we're finding if you aren't aggressive on him, he'll have a lend. I don't think we've seen the bottom of him yet.
2nd	PIRACY	Andrew Adkins (a0)	Very good run. Settled well when I asked and travelled very well around the turn. There was a bit of pressure from the outside and that told in the latter stages. Still ran well and will improve from that.
3rd	ANDAZ	Damian Browne	Terrific run, travelled well and hit the line really well.
4th	MALAHAT	Glyn Schofield	He was comfortable in the lead but just dug into the ground a little too much for him.
5th	ALBUMIN	Joshua Parr	He failed to let down on the soft ground.
6th	MUSTAFA	Rachel King (a0)	First race start and it wasn't a bad effort.

Race 7 – GROUP III ICD NIVISON (1200m)

2nd	ZESTFUL	Tye Angland	Really good run. All credit to the winner, she just had a better turn of foot.
3rd	KINSHACHI	Glyn Schofield	Presented well over the rise but just couldn't finish the race off.
4th	DIXIE BLOSSOMS	Christian Reith	Super run dropping back in trip today.
5th	DAYSEE DOOM	Andrew Adkins (a0)	She was strong at the end of the six furlongs and she'll be spot on the for the mile in Melbourne.
6th	HEAVENS ABOVE	Adam Hyeronimus	No comment.
7th	SAMANTHA	Josh Adams	The pace of the race probably didn't help her. She was a bit ungenerous in the middle stages and found it hard to hit the line after that.
8th	SIREN'S FURY	Jess Taylor	Good first-up run, she was hitting the line strongly. Just got held up a little at the 150m. She'll be better next start.
9th	MATERNAL	Brenton Avdulla	She was ok. Travelled comfortable but got tired late.
10th	SPRIGHT	Jay Ford	Disappointing again. She might not have come up.
11th	NANCY	Damian Browne	Travelled lovely throughout but hit a flat spot turning for home and was unable to quicken out of that.
12th	DIDDUMS	James Innes Jnr (a0)	I thought she had her chance out in front. Even though she's won a Group race on a heavy track I don't think it's her best surface.

Race 8 – PROCARE PROPERTY SERVICES PTY LTD BENCHMARK 85 HANDICAP (1600m)

1st	MORTAR PLATOON (IRE)	Lee Magorrian (a3)	It's been a good day and the horse just did everything right. He travelled sweet in running and presented in the straight and kicked well. The more luck and success I get the more opportunities appear.
2nd	IMPAVIDO	Jason Collett	Worked home well, the leader just kept kicking
3rd	HOGMANAY	Tye Angland	I got him to begin a bit better and I thought his run was full of merit.
4th	SCREAMARR	Josh Adams	Ran well juust got a bit stuck in the ground late.
5th	MAPMAKER	Adam Hyeronimus	Ran well, probably just needs that cover.
6th	GAUGUIN (NZ)	Brock Ryan (a3)	Travelled nice and strong but just tired late.
7th	WU GOK	Christian Reith	Very dour.
8th	MULTITUDE	Rachel King (a1.5)	Really good effort first-up, just needs to come on fitness wise.
9th	GREAT GLEN (GB)	Glyn Schofield	Didn't do much.
10th	ZENALICIOUS	Joshua Parr	Never got into the race.
11th	BE LIKE DAD	Andrew Adkins (a1.5)	Disappointing, probably out of his grade a little bit. Might be looking for further too.

Race 9 – JEM COMPUTER SYSTEMS BENCHMARK 88 HANDICAP (1200m)

We bounced with them, when I showed that amount of speed I was only going to be caught wide and she was really fresh today but once I got her back in behind a runner she really switched off and when I asked her before the turn to improve she really did. She let down like a Snowden horse does.
2nd	CRAFTY COP	Brenton Avdulla	He tried hard and ran honest.
3rd	NEW UNIVERSE (NZ)	Jason Collett	Got quite wound up before the start, changing the saddle. Pass mark - just. Maybe the testing track told late.
4th	PETROSSIAN	Rachael Murray	Really good solid effort.
5th	ZIGGY WILLIE	Damian Browne	Tried hard.
6th	SWEET SERENDIPITY	Rachel King (a1.5)	Really good run, that will just bring him on fitness wise.
7th	UNEQUIVOCAL	Christian Reith	I thought the last part of the race was really good.
8th	NOBLE JOEY	Brock Ryan (a3)	I took the sit early and he just lost the bit and didn't know what he was doing. In hindsight I'd probably lead and send him a long.
9th	ASTARA (NZ)	Glyn Schofield	Couldn't quite get in from the wider draw.
