In It To Win It!

Tara Madgwick - Thursday October 19
The Spring Carnival is in full swing so we have stakes racing every weekend and for breeders and stallion owners it’s all about which sires are doing well and getting the stakes winners when it counts - to get them you need runners, so let’s take a look into the crystal ball to see which stallions can fire up this weekend and into next week.

Fastnet RockTopping the list this week with 13 stakes runners is Fastnet Rock who is represented not only in Australia, but also in New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong, with Snitzel (12), Savabeel (12) and surprisingly Galileo (11) in close attendance.

The champion sire in Europe, Galileo did shuttle to Australia for five seasons between 2002 and 2006, but his Australian runners these days are all imports.
