Did you back something which was a good thing beaten? Or maybe just turned in an eye-catching run?

Come on, share it with the rest of us, through the 'comments' section below.

RANDWICK – Greg Polson

PICK ME UP – The Tim Martin-trained Pick Me Up was backed from $11 to $6.50 on Saturday arguably should have got the cash rather than finishing a close second. Pick Me Up was held up on the back of the winner Grand Condor until the 200m when the run came to the inside but the winning post arrived too quickly. Saturday’s race was over 1000m and it is worth noting each of Pick Me Up’s four career victories have come at 1200m, with the six-year-old having a solid second-up record (4:2-1-0). There is an ideal race for Pick Me Up at Randwick on October 28 – a benchmark 80 handicap over 1200m, reckon he makes amends next start. Career statistics (18:4-5-1).

CAULFIELD – Cameron Happ

LEVENDI – You could make the argument that Levendi should have fought out the finish of the Caulfield Guineas on Saturday. He was getting a good run three deep with cover, right alongside Royal Symphony until being badly held up from the 400 metres, taking him back to second last at the 300 metres just as the leaders sprinted clear. For him to pick himself up and get within four lengths on the line was a good effort. This was only his third run back from a spell, if they keep him fresh and run him in the Carbine Club over the mile on Victoria Derby day he’ll take some beating down the long Flemington straight. Career statistics (4:2-0-0).

DOOMBEN – Graeme Carey

SUPER SUAVE – Lightly raced four-year-old that was having his third run this preparation in 0-70 benchmark handicap over 1200m. Matt McGillivray got him away fairly but was severely checked and almost unseated at the 950m, he picked up the pieces in the run to the home turn but was still some six lengths off them on straightening. He began to motor home down the outside only to cop a prat at the 250m but not to be perturbed kept coming to go down in a three-way photo getting the minor end of the prize. Whilst he has shown capability at sprint distances he is by High Chaparral out of a mare that won good races up to 2400m so don’t be afraid to support if seen stepping out in something longer. Career statistics (8:3-0-2).

MORPHETTVILLE – Heath Pope

ALASKAN JADE – Five-year-old mare that produced a credible sixth behind our recent blackbooker Invisible Girl when resuming on Saturday in what we think will be a good form race. It was a steadily run race with Alaskan Jade settling a long way from the speed before being taken out extremely wide on the turn. In the straight she continued to make ground to get within 2-3/4 lengths of the winner. This mare invariably goes around underestimated in the betting markets hence why she presents as an ideal blackbooker with plenty of potential of a future return. Would be ideally placed in a Benchmark 70 up to 1200m. Career statistics (21:4-4-2).

BUNBURY – Aaron Mills

CRUACHAN – This Godolphin castoff was a winner of two races when trained in New South Wales and looks set for a profitable career in the west after a strong performance on Saturday. Already a winner at Pinjarra since landing in the care of astute trainer Simon Miller late last season, Cruachan was unlucky not to add to his record when steaming home at his first start in three months to finish a close second after being held-up for much of the straight. Everything points to a mile being within scope for Cruachan so with natural improvement and the right run he should give punters a return very soon. Career record (12:3-2-2).
