Greg Polson preview and top two bets for Grafton

Greg Polson - Tuesday October 17

Punters need to tread warily with a heavy (10) track at Grafton on Tuesday but there will be eight winners and we have done our best to find a couple of them.

The meeting was in some doubt Monday afternoon but with a fine day predicted Stewards have given the go ahead for racing.

SEBBAG (Race 1 No 6)

Now with Scott Dixon at Inverell after previously being trained by Pat Webster, Sebbag is yet to win in 18 career starts but won't get a better chance to record a win than the Winning Edge Presentations 4YO+ Maiden Handicap (1100m).

Placed both runs at Tamworth and Gunnedah since changing stables there is a clear rating spike in Sebbag's form on wet tracks.

When broken down the five-year-old's record reads nine starts on dry ground for just one runner-up finish but has four placings from nine starts on soft and heavy tracks including two placings at Beaumont on heavy ground.

Sebbag should be right at his peak third-up and is ready to win.

IT'S RELATIVE (Race 4 No 2)

Taking a punt on the Stirling Osland-trained Its Relative in the Daily Examiner 3YO Maiden Handicap (1200m).

It's Relative resumes without a trial but did run fourth at Armidale on debut last March beaten just over four-lengths in a strong two-year-old race on Armidale Cup Day won by Mr Grumpy on a heavy (8) surface at his only run to date.

It's Relative returns to racing as a gelding with Rachael Murray in the saddle and at $4 in early betting happy to have something on to beat the favourite Invincible Tammy who is untried in wet ground with 1200m looking a genuine query in the conditions.
