It’s 20 All

Tara Madgwick - Monday July 4

The race to be the most successful sire of Australian 2YO winners this season is being fought in Queensland with Spirit of Boom (Eureka Stud)  and Better Than Ready (Lyndhurst Stud) going head to head with only weeks of this season to run.

Click to see all the Breednet sire tables.

They are currently locked on 20 winners each with Better than Ready making his presence felt at the Sunshine Coast last weekend with his consistent gelding Northern Express posting his fourth win from eight starts in the $75,000 Bruce McLachlan Classic.

Trained by Michael Nolan, Northern Express was a savvy $35,000 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale purchase from the Lyndhurst Stud draft that has already won over $140,000 in prizemoney.
