Valachi Downs Young and Racing Stock Dispersal Live

Media Release - Saturday June 25

Off the back of staggering breeding stock dispersal results for Kevin Hickman’s Valachi Downs, their 52 Lot Unreserved Young and Racing Stock Dispersal will be live from midday on Gavelhouse Plus.

Baggy Green sold yesterday for $1.75 million to Yulong.

The initial breeding and stallion share dispersal concluded on Friday night, grossing over $6.6 million with Tofane’s dam, Baggy Green the highlight, selling for $1.75 million to Yulong’s Written Tycoon Syndicate.

Yulong also outlaid $851,500 to add Bohemian Lily, Tiffany’s Rock and Kimberley Road to their star-studded arsenal.

“The sale has gone very well and Kevin’s broodmare band has been appreciated like it deserved to be. It’s great to see the net result of all his passion and commitment and input into the industry over the years be honoured with these expectation exceeding prices,” Valachi General Manager Gareth Downey said.

Among the highlights in the next offering is Tofane’s yearling full-sister. One of the outstanding youngsters usually retained by the world-class breeding and racing team, her being brought to market presents an exciting opportunity to tap into one of the most electric pedigrees going.

Yearling full sister to Tofane.

“This is a unique opportunity to secure genuine racing propositions that are of the quality that they would usually be retained to further bolster an elite broodmare band,” Downey said.
