Proven Group I vendors Bowness Stud will present a quality draft of eight yearlings at the Magic Millions National Yearling Sale this week including one of only two colts in the sale by champion sire Snitzel.

Bowness are no strangers to success with Snitzel having foaled and raised his champion son Trapeze Artist for Bert Vieira, the star colt winning four Group I races to be the Champion 3YO Colt of his generation.

Offered as Lot 1801, this flashy chestnut Snitzel colt fills the eye and he has a Black Type pedigree that fills the page.

From well related Encosta de Lago mare Purple Blood, he is a half-brother to Group III winner Sookie, the dam of dual Group I winner and $1.8 million earner Shadow Hero.

His grand-dam is Champion 2YO Filly Victory Vein and everything about this August foaled colt suggests early speed.

Fans of this Snitzel colt will also be keen to see Lot 1443, who is very similar in type and sired by Snitzel’s exciting young sire son Menari.
