Lighthouse to Visit Golden Slipper Winner Farnan

Tara Madgwick - Friday May 27

Kia Ora Stud are leaving no stone unturned to ensure Golden Slipper winner Farnan has the very best chance of success and one of the star mares he will cover this spring is Group I ATC Coolmore Classic winner Lighthouse (USA), who was sold at Magic Millions this week for $1.7million.

Lighthouse was a sale ring star at the Gold Coast this week.

Knocked down to Dermot Farrington Bloodstock for a partnership of Tony Fung Investments and Kia Ora Stud, Lighthouse was a brilliant sprinter miler that made a huge impression in her time in Australia with Ciaron Maher and David Eustace.

The daughter of Mizzen Mast reeled off four consecutive wins when she arrived form the US and then placed in two Group I races before winning the Coolmore, proving fast and adaptable with her wins coming on both good and heavy tracks.

She is sure to have some stunning foals in the future and is one of a bevy of lovely mares heading to Kia Ora after the Gold Coast sale.
