New Stakes -Winner for Sidestep

Tara Madgwick - Friday May 27

Telemon Thoroughbreds is home to Golden Slipper winner Kiamichi’s sire Sidestep, who added a new stakes-winner to his tally overnight when Best Lightning won the Group III 44th Kroniums Badener Mile (1600m) at Baden Baden in Gemrnay.

Stakes-placed previously, the four year old stallion was having his first run of the year and scored a three-quarter length win.

Best Lightning has four wins and four placings from 12 starts and is a half-brother to Group III placed Best Flying from stakes-placed Big Shuffle mare Best Dreaming.

He is the fourth stakes-winner for Exceed and Excel stallion Sidestep, who stands this spring at a fee of $7,150.

Sidestep stands at Telemon Thoroughbreds.

Sidestep has a big crop of over 80 rising 2YO’s that could well put his name back in lights.
