Service Fee Announced for Extreme Warrior

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday May 25

Rosemont Stud have welcomed exciting young sire Extreme Warrior to the farm and the first son of Extreme Choice to stand in Victoria will be available for inspection next week.

A brilliantly fast colt that won the Group III MRC Blue Sapphire Stakes (1200m) by nearly four lengths, he retires with three wins and two seconds from just eight starts with earnings just shy of $300,000.

Extreme Warrior wins the G3 Blue Sapphire by daylight!

“Unfortunately, he came out of the Group I Goodwood with a minor injury, so we didn’t get to see him at his best sadly,” said Ryan McEvoy of Rosemont Stud.

“He has arrived back at Rosemont and we look forward to presenting him for inspection from next week.”

Extreme Warrior will stand at a fee of $24,750 inc, GST  payable on live foal.

A multiple stakes performer as an early two year-old , Extreme Warrior excelled at three and is the highest raced three year-old colt by Extreme Choice, courtesy of his resounding win in the Group III MRC Blue Sapphire.

He demolished Profiteer on that occasion with an explosive turn of foot.

It was a ‘wow’ performance which led to many ratings experts, including Deane Lester, declaring Extreme Warrior a Group I winner in the making.

Co-trainer Mick Price, who trained his sire Extreme Choice, could not speak highly enough of his young charge.

“He’s an outstanding colt and obviously proud that he’s by a stable favourite in Extreme Choice. This colt put his hand up as a ‘proper one’ almost instantly as he’s got a beautiful attitude, a truckload of natural speed and quickens off a fast tempo. Everything he does, he does with ease. Only the really good ones have that characteristic.”

Extreme Warrior has a TF Rating of 118 and is arguably the best bred son to retire to stud in 2022 of Extreme Choice, who stands at a fee of $275,000..
