Above is the list of mares sold at public auction in Australia for MORE than $2million. Included in the list are two that sold through online sales last year Avantage for $NZ4.1million on Gavelhouse Plus in New Zealand and Funstar on Inglis Digital.

Funstar was sent straight to Japan, while Avantage came back to Coolmore and was covered by Wootton Bassett (GB).

Other new additions to the list last year were Arcadia Queen, Melody Belle, Celebrity Queen, Mizzy and In Her Time.

Arcadia Queen was bought by Arrowfield, but was covered last spring by I Am Invincible, while Melody Belle went to Written Tycoon.

Celebrity Queen and Mizzy both went to Wootton Bassett, while In Her Time went to Written Tycoon.

Sunlight is the benchmark at Magic Millions.

Sunlight, who holds the record as the most expensive mare sold at Magic Millions is also in foal to Wootton Bassett after producing a colt last spring by Justify (USA).
