Ten Premier Stars from Two Bays Farm

Sponsored Content - by Tara Madgwick - Wednesday February 23

Two Bays Farm are offering a sensational draft of 10 yearlings – six on behalf of Makybe - at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale and are in the midst of a purple patch of form for past sales gradates that include Sunday’s Listed Tasmanian Oaks winner Bundle of Fun.

The Written Tycoon filly was bred and sold by Two Bays Farm fetching $300,000 at Inglis Easter when bought by Price Bloodstock and has proven a sound investment after scoring a resounding win in the Tassie Oaks for the Adam Trinder stable.

Two Bays bred and sold runners Cardigan Queen (Sebring) and Important Product (Choisir) were also in the money last weekend, the former running a game second in the Group III VRC The Vanity and the latter finishing second at Moonee Valley on Friday night.

For a relatively new and progressive farm, Two Bays is putting runs on the board with other good stakes-winners coming off the farm including Bundle of Fun’s older sibling Kubrick, Easy Eddie, I Am Eloquent and Military Zone.

See the Two Bays Inglis Premier draft at Barn D Stables 8 – 12, 18 – 23.

Who Done The Deel is held in high regard and currently holds an entry for both an AJC Derby and Rosehill Guineas.

The "Ferrari of the draft"! A very well balanced colt that covers the ground really well and has a superb temperament and has a super preparation.

Makybe Stud Manager Joe Murray's comment: "This is the best foal the mare has produced - he just looks a real runner."

Makybe Stud Manager Joe Murray's comment "He has been the easiest horse to manage since day dot."

Lot 419 Filly Pierro x Chandana, by High Chaparral (IRE)

A very attractive filly who has come through this sales prep effortlessly and comes from the family of champion sire Fastnet Rock. Her full sister was purchased by Ciaran Maher Racing for $160,000 at this sale last year. The mare has a Shamus Award to come and is in foal to Too Darn Hot so there is plenty of upside in the family.

Lot 544 Colt The Autumn Sun x Gold Anthem, by Made of Gold (USA)

The half-brother to champion sprinter and Group I sire Starspangledbanner and to the dam of Group I winner Amicus. An athletic colt that has gone from strength to strength throughout this preparation and will keep improving with time.

Lot 545 Colt Smart Missile x Gold Fontein, by Turffontein

First foal of a metro winning half-sister to stakes-winner Mission Tycoon.

This colt has a great action and a really tough demeanour - a genuine tradesman-like horse. He's a man among the boys. Closely related to Sparring who won by six-and-a-half lengths on debut recently.

Lot 612 Filly Showtime x Midnight Shimmer, by Blackfriars

From the first crop of brilliant Snitzel sprinter Showtime and is from stakes-placed Midnight Shimmer.

This filly is the first Showtime we've had anything to do with and we're all very impressed with her. We had the half sister last year who was a different style of horse but the same beautiful action.

A really sharp colt from the family of current 2YO  star Sejardan that has a spring in his step and just developed superbly through the preparation. He's a stunning individual.
