Stakes Winning 2yo Purchased From Leading Online Bloodstock Auction Site

Media Release - Friday February 14

Bloodstockauction, com just keeps going from strength to strength and what a great success it was for one of the site's 14,000 members when Akeed Mofeed filly Jyoti recorded a particularly gutsy victory in the Listed Gold Sovereign Stakes in Tasmania on Wednesday.

The Tony & Calvin McEvoy trained two-year-old, who has having just her third start (just missing second up at Morphettville off a dominant debut victory at that same track), was heavily supported into odds-on.

Putting on display her good natural pace, Jyoti travelled well behind the leaders for Jamie Kah - railing beautifully into the straight only to find herself under siege from the 200m - her challengers in for the fight. But she was so determined, pinning her ears back and digging deep.

"She was there to be beaten," Tony McEvoy said... "the others were coming over the final 200m but she refused to give in and showed great courage to grab the win."

"To pick up a black type win at just her third start is fantastic for the filly," he added, congratulating her owner Craig Dunn who has been such a good client for Bloodstockauction.com.

On April 16 last year, Dunn contested a spirited bidding dual for the Goldin Farms bred Jyoti but was able to secure her for just $12,375.

"I have a strong opinion of the Akeed Mofeeds and have purchased three of them via Bloodstockauction.com," Dunn said.

"I would recommend using Bloodstockauction.com as an outstanding and preferred online bloodstock sales platform."
Already Jyoti has won over ten times her purchase price and can continue to improve on her value as she heads towards such races as the Gr.3 National Stakes at Morphettville in May.

Bloodstockauction.com's weekly auctions provide both vendor and buyer a wonderful opportunity to secure quality bloodstock without the overheads that come with heading to the sales ring.

"Jyoti is another terrific example of one of our members obtaining a classy horse who has been able to deliver an outstanding return on investment," said Bloodstockauction.com's Anthony Gafa.

The second stakes winner for Swettenham Stud's Hong Kong International Cup an Hong Kong Derby winner Akeed Mofeed, Jyoti is the second foal produced by the Listed winning Bradbury's Luck mare She Can Skate.
