Sun Bloodstock’s Blossom on Snow Goes Two for Two

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday December 18

Talented Sebring filly Blossom on Snow opened her career with a dominant debut victory at Wangaratta last month and proved that win was no fluke when scoring an eye-catching win at Caulfield on Wednesday.

Sebring is the sire of Blossom on SnowTrained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, Blossom on Snow was stepping up to 1600 metres and looked set for an easy win before veering sharply to the right in the final furlong.

She recovered to win by a length and a quarter under 60kg stamping herself as a filly of some potential.

A $150,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Newhaven Park draft for Sun Bloodstock, Blossom on Snow was bred by Kambula Stud and is a half-sister to Group III winner Detours being the fifth winner from six foals to race from stakes-placed Octagonal mare Hairpin.

Hairpin has foaled again this year to another of the Widden Stud sires in Your Song.

Blossom on Snow’s sire Sebring has strong representation at upcoming sales with an impressive 46 entries for MM 2020.
