Another G3 for Sebring Mare

Tara Madgwick - Saturday October 12
Talented Sebring mare Nettoyer again showed her liking for the Randwick mile scoring her second Graded win at the distance when taking out the Group III ATC Angst Quality on Saturday.

Trained and part-owned by Warwick Farm conditioner Wendy Roche, Nettoyer was coming off a brave last start sixth in the Group I Epsom and scored a tenacious short head win for Glen Boss.

Nettoyer - images Steve Hart"This has given me a lot of satisfaction," Boss said.

"She is not an easy mare to deal with. She has so many idiosyncrasies and I just try to go with her and keep her happy.

"It is just so good for Wendy. She puts her heart and soul into it.

"I can't imagine the hours that go into this mare."

Nettoyer is likely to head to Melbourne with races such as the Group I VRC Empire Rose Stakes and Group II VRC Matriarch Stakes for fillies and mares at Flemington appealing as suitable targets.

"She pulled up super from the Epsom obviously," Roche said.

"She didn't do much during the week and she put on four kilos.

"We planned to have her a bit closer and I was concerned Amangiri would run away with it because of the pattern of the day."

Nettoyer was a modest $20,000 Inglis Easter Session II purchase from the Riversdale draft and was then passed in when offered at the two year-old Inglis Ready2Race Sale.

She has put together a tidy record with four wins and seven placings from 25 starts with prizemoney just shy of $500,000.

Bred by Invermien Pty Ltd, she is the best of four winners from Cleanup, a half-sister by Dehere (USA) to Group III winner She's Clean from the family of Group I Oaks winners Absolutely and Abbey Marie.

The final crop of foals by Nettoyer's much missed sire Sebring are being born this spring.
