Top bets from Laurie Sainsbury for Moonee Valley Saturday

Stephen Brassel - Friday August 25

Laurie Sainsbury holds the title of "Racenet's most popular ever tipster" and has stayed with Moonee Valley this week and whilst his selections aren't massive odds he thinks there is still money to be made.

This could well have been written by the famous British Poet Laureate about our favourite tipster Laurie Sainsbury.

HEAR THE CHANT (Moonee Valley Race 2 No 2)
This mare resumes for the inform Hayes, Hayes and Dabernig stable and she's had three first up starts. Won at Sandown Hillside, spelled then resumed here and ran last, forget that effort as badly held up and untested. Her next first up run was beaten a length here in the Typhoon Tracy when she overraced severely when crossed and then held up and peaked late but had been degassed. Jump-out suggest she's forward enough to give this a shake from the good barrier. Went super in the Twilight Glow at Sandown last time in.

LORD TENNYSON (Moonee Valley Race 4 No 11)
He drew wide at Flemington last start and was always wide in the run, at least three wide and then seven and eight deep on the turn. Wayanka beat him 3 ½ lengths but he caught my eye the last 200M and ran through the line. Matthew Hill commented "Lord Tennyson doing a bit late". Significant rider change here with Damian Lane replacing Jordan Grob and he is adept on all going. Will include a roughie in Patch Adams in exotics together with the weight horse Spun Lago.

BLING DYNASTY (Moonee Valley Race 5 No 10 )
His last win was here in January 2016 over 2800M but since then had a 71 week spell. His four runs since that spell have been handy without winning and all look to be building towards this race. Three runs back was only 2 ¼ lengths from Cannyscent at Flemington, Tshahitsi was a length better and he franked that form in the Winter Championship Final. At his last two starts he has recorded smart sectionals. Craig Williams has a (3:2-0-1) record on him and from barrier one he should get a lot of favours. A Bolter here that can improve is Foundation with Blinkers First Time.
BET : WIN
ODDS $8 @ Bet 365

ARTICUS (Moonee Valley Race 8 No 1)
Here's an import for the Weir stable , he immediately went into the Racenet Black Book after his first run for the stable at Caulfield, he then won at Flemington despite being a real handful for the strapper and rider. I am forgiving that flop at Doomben last start on a Heavy 8, rider advised Stewards "didn't handle the going". However, he's since been Gelded and if, and I say if, he has improved his manners he can take care of this lot. I am including his stablemate I'm Feeling Lucky and Harlow Gold in exotics.
BET : WIN
ODDS $8.50 @ CrownBet, Ladbrokes, Sportsbet, Bet 365.
