Another Debut Winner for Deep Field

Newgate Farm’s Deep Field added a 25th first crop winner to his tally when exciting prospect Texas Forever made a winning debut at Hawkesbury on Thursday.

Texas Forever as a yearingTrained by David Pfieffer, Texas Forever has shown promise in recent trials and ran right up to his potential when leading all the way to win the 1000 metre maiden by three-quarters of a length in a brisk 57.41 seconds beating the hot favourite Acumen from the powerful Godolphin stable.

A $270,000 Magic Millions purchase for his trainer from the Aquis Farm draft, Texas Forever was bred by Emirates Park and is the first foal of winning Not a Single Doubt mare Final Agreement, a full sister to Group I winner Secret Agenda.

Entered for the Group I MRC Caulfield Guineas, Texas Forever is the fourth winner of the new season for Deep Field, who stands at a fee of $44,000.
