First Foal for Satono Aladdin

The first foal by Rich Hill's Group 1 winning son of Deep Impact, Satono Aladdin (Jpn) , was born on Sunday at Cambridge Stud, the new arrival being out of the multiple Australian stakes winning mare Tarloshan.

The filly was bred in partnership by Janenne Dalley and Graeme Boyd, who raced Tarloshan, with Boyd also training her in Australia.

"This filly is a great start for the stallion in Australasia and she confirms the great impression his northern foals made when selling at last month's Japan Select Foal Sale," said Rich Hill's John Thompson.

"Our connections at Shadai Stallion Station were delighted with the buyer interest in his first Japanese foals."

Satono Aladdin's Japanese foals averaged $NZ612,000, with Lot 339 (pictured below) his colt ex Sea Spray making a top price of NZ$847,000.



Satono Aladdin stands at a fee of $12,500.
