Frosted Yearlings Impress at Saratoga August Opener

Just arrived back at Darley Victoria for his third Australian season, Tapit's Group I winning son Frosted (USA) proved popular at the Saratoga August Yearling Sale during the first session with four yearlings averaging $US346,250 ($A512,238).

Frosted filly from IndiaTop sellers for Frosted were a filly from Indi that made $US575,000 for Lane's End when bought by Mike Ryan and a colt from Flirting With Fate that made $US500,000 for Summerfield when bought by Spendthrift Farm.

The filly from Grade II winner India is a half-sister to Japanese Group I winner Mozu Ascot and US stakes-winner Kareena, while the colt from Flirting with Fate is a half-brother to Grade I winner Dance with Fate.

Frosted has covered 183 mares in his first two Australian seasons and returns this year at a fee of $27,500.

His first yearlings will hit Australian sales in 2020.
